TENANCY DEPOSIT SCHEME
Deposits lodged with Charters are secured/protected by the Tenancy Deposit Protection scheme. Deposits are protected through www.mydeposits.co.uk or in some cases if your landlord lives abroad with www.depositprotection.com.
Both these agencies offer a resolution service should there be any disagreement about a deposit at the end of a tenancy.
This ensures the dispute is dealt with impartially and free of charge to you, the tenant.
